      The opening teaser in CHiPs: Cry Wolf is memorable and funny, not for the actual plot, but because they show stock footage of Station 51 from Emergency! responding. Then when we get to the scene and it’s a different engine and squad and it’s now numbered ‘519′. They even did it more than once. Nice

      try, but fans of Emergency! will always notice.

      In between the false alarms that are the focus of this episode, there’s a frightening bit (some might say it’s just cute and funny) with Ponch coming leg to belly with a boa constrictor. Ellen Travolta plays the mom to Robbie Rist, who is the boy who owns the ...


      • snake. Rist was all the rage for a few years in Hollywood. Personally, I’m not a snake fan so I tend to want to just turn away while that scene is on.

        There’s another cute bit in CHiPs: Cry Wolf with Jon and Ponch double dating and going to a French restaurant. Instead of asking

        for help, they order and get, yes, snails. I do love how they resolve this in the final scene of the show.

        Cry Wolf does okay and actually gives some insight to how the emergency system worked back in the late 70’s. I do wish the guilty character had a bit more depth given to his character.
