      Sandy Hook, New Jersey sits across a bridge by itself, and the cost per vehicle is $10 on season. Off season there is no cost to enjoy this area.

      One of the things I really enjoy about Sandy Hook is they offer


      a long paved trail that is great for biking or walking.

      Knowing there’s an area separate from the cars makes this ideal for a family with kids.

      There are separate beach areas that offer public bathrooms, along with a restaurant at one ...

        One of the unique things about Sandy Hook that I really enjoyed was it was once the home of Fort McHenry, and all the buildings are still in place.

        You can go to the musuem as well as wonder around

        the grounds.

        We enjoyed walking around the diffrent areas, and then climbing the observation deck to see parts of New York.

        They have map showing you what you are looking at.

        This was a great day trip, and quite enjoyable off season.
