  • What was the best about this show for me was an early scene at an outdoor cafe where Jesse Mach (Rex Smith) and Norman Tuttle (Joe Regalbuto) were having lunch
  • Helfer really didn't do much or have success as an actress, but I certainly noticed here in this small role

The 1985 crime drama series, Street Hawk presents as its third episode, The Adjuster, a show which guest stars Marjoe Gortner. I’m not a fan of Gortner’s, to be honest. He’s a little too quirky and off-kilter for my tastes. I’ve always been surprised that his acting career was as extensive as

it was. He’s just not enjoyable to watch.

What was the best about this show for me was an early scene at an outdoor cafe where Jesse Mach (Rex Smith) and Norman Tuttle (Joe Regalbuto) were having lunch. Norman was trying to get a point across about how much money it costs to do the Street Hawk program and operate the hyped up motorcycle when Jesse deflected the action by pointing out that the waitress liked Norman. This led to a really cute little moment. I loved the appeal of the blonde, who was played by Britt Helfer. Helfer really didn’t do much or have success ...

as an actress, but I certainly noticed here in this small role.

As for the plot of this show, like many of the episodes, it’s pretty basic and without much mystery. That was a problem with this series. While there were a few stand outs in the 13 episodes, most were tired shows,

ones without much imagination. The hope in this series is that the drawn out scenes where we see Street Hawk in action will have enough technology and science fiction effects to keep people intrigued and watching. It didn’t.

Skip this episode. It has nothing to offer but a cute moment or two with the unknown Helfner.
