      Seafood and combined with pasta is a rare experience for me. I liked this recipe for the very reason that it is peculiar. The taste of clams and prawns give a different taste to the pasta making it more tasty than traditional pork, bacon or beef. Here is the recipe which was taken from Kris Aquino’s magazine:


      1 Kilo clams

      1/2 kilo

      prawns,peeled and deveined

      1 head garlic, sliced

      1 shallot, diced

      2 cups white wine

      1/2 cup olive oil

      100 grams butter, unsalted

      1 tbsp dried chili flakes

      1/2 cup lemon juice

      1 tbsp Maggi Magic Sarap

      1 tsp lemon zest

      Salt and Pepper to taste For the Pasta: use angel hair pasta ( cooked al dente ). No other pasta is appropriate for this recipe. Thus I would recommend to strictly follow ...

        In large pot, add butter and olive oil. Once the butter is melted, add the garlic and shallots and mix for three minutes. when the garlic starts to brown, add your clams and prawns. Saute for 30 seconds, then add your wine and cover the pot. After several minutes, check to see if the clams are open.

        Then check the prawns. They should also be cooked by this time. Add chili flakes and lemon juice; simmer for one minute and season with salt and pepper and Maggi Magic Sarap. Remove from heat and toss in the lemon zest. Your sauce is not ready to be mixed with your cooked pasta. Garnish with rosemary leaves and then serve.
