Trans BSD, Jakarta, IndonesiaItem: Trans BSD, Jakarta, Indonesia
Trans BSD is a private regular bus service connecting Jakarta and Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD), a district to the south-west of Jakarta. There are three service lanes from BSD i.e. to Ratu Plaza, Kota Railway Station, and Pasar Baru (all are in Jakarta).
Traveling from BSD to one of the three destinations in Jakarta is easy. You can buy the ticket from the ticket box within Trans BSD terminal, next to the swimming pool of Sector 1 in BSD. The bus is there waiting for you from 5:30 a.m. to about 6 p.m. Although you can also wait for and step into the bus at two bus stops on the way, you will never get a seat especially before 9 a.m. in the morning. Some passengers are too lazy to buy the ticket from the ticket box. They simply handover the money to the inspector in the bus. I do not recommend this way of payment as you will not get the ticket as the proof of payment you have made. If you need to alight in a spot beyond the last bus stop, you may request to the driver who will happily drive you to your destination as long as it is in the bus pathway. The problem arises if you want to use the service from Jakarta to BSD as there is no ticket box in Ratu Plaza, Kota Station, and Pasar Baru. You must then look for a person holding yellow tickets for sale. He or she may stand, sit, or walk around the bus stop. Further, you cannot rely on the schedule as the buses are always late due to the heavy traffic. And finally in the afternoon, after office hours, you may not get a seat! Rating: 6
