Relafen (nabumetone) 500mgItem: Relafen (nabumetone) 500mg
Relafen was prescribed by my orthopedist for my lower back pain after an automobile accident I was in. My doctor order five hundred milligrams to be taken twice daily.
Well, needless to say I can’t even tell I am taking it. It has been two months now since my accident and I should be getting some sort of relief but I am not. Relafen is not only a pain reliever it is also an anti-inflammatory. This basically means my doctor thinks the majority of my pain is coming from swollen discs, so the Relafen should help. The only thing is it doesn’t. As a matter of fact, it doesn’t even help with the severe stiffness I have in the morning. If I have to give this medication a rating it would be a poor one. I would absolutely not recommend it to anyone else for the same problem. The reason being is because on my MRI it showed up that I have 2 L4 and L5 protruding discs not swollen. Therefore the medication is pointless. The pain reliever in Relafen doesn’t even help. All I can say is for you to try it at your own risk. Rating: 1
