Arianne Body Powder by AvonItem: Arianne Body Powder by Avon
Between talc and cornstarch-based powders, I prefer the latter because I naturally have a reaction to talc triggering my breathing problems as an asthmatic. At the moment, I’m using Arianne Body powder after flipping through pages of an avon catalogue. This powder is cornstarch-based which is more organic than mineral based talcum powder and especially useful during hot summer days.

I hate the feeling when my body gets icky and sticky giving me a cue for a refreshing shower. Rather than an after-shower moisturizer that can easily melt, I go for a body powder which keeps my body dry. I dust the powder onto my body after skin has been towel-dried. I like the sheer softness of my skin with this powder. Unlike talc powder, this one leaves a thin almost lotion-like transparent coverage without that heavy chalk-y white patches some powders make. The sheer dryness lasts longer towards the night. I occasionally have ‘bacne’, this helped me control excessive sweating on my back to reduce the formation of whiteheads and acne which was good. Somehow, I don’t think it clogs up my pores but to be extra careful, I always end the evening with a warm bath before climbing to bed just to wash out all the residue on my body. It has very fine powdered texture and a subtle floral scent. The fragrance doesn’t hang in there for long. I would’ve love the scent to last long enough because it has a nice girly lightweight fragrance that I like. It comes in a sophisticated rosy red packaging and an easy twistable cap that sprinkles just the right amount. This is more expensive than over-the-counter talcum powders but certainly lasts for months. I know I’m a moisture-loving beauty addict, but sometimes its good to neutralize the skin with a powder. This helps to counter the skin’s acidity levels and balances out moisture. If you have sensitivity to harsh talcum powders, then I recommend you use this one.
