Urban Decay is perhaps one of the funkiest and grooviest makeup brands out there. My eye shadow palette showcases a wild range of colors labeled with equally wild names (e.g. half-baked, Y2K). This is definitely make-up for those who aren’t afraid to wear make up.
The colors are bright and glittery, but they are definitely not stage makeup. The hues are not too trampy. The product actually blends in well to my complexion. I was afraid that I might look like a clown or that it may look cheap. But the colors actually lay on the face evenly and lightly. The eyeshadow may look bright in the tray but the colors fall subtly on the face, giving a very chic tone.
The product comes with a primer, which I strongly recommend using. It helps make the eyeshadow color stay on longer on your face. I tried skipping this process and the saw how the product can slowly fade out in a few hours.
The only sad part is that I think I’m allergic to the product. The several times I’ve used it for a night out with friends, I ended up with a couple of pimples in the morning. I won’t readily recommend this for people with sensitive skin. I guess this is one of those products that I’ll have to sadly say goodbye to.
