Food Club Blueberry Waffles

Item: Food Club Blueberry Waffles
Location:
by Steve

My daughter loves blueberry waffles and, since they are the only thing I can get her to eat before school each morning, I usually keep a box in the freezer.
I recently bought a box from the brand Food Club and honestly have not been overly impressed with it.
First of all, these waffles do not brown when you toast them. They remain white. What’s up with that? It’s like eating a waffle that was placed in the microwave instead of the toaster both because of color and because it is chewy rather than crispy. This has not gone unnoticed by my daughter either. I usually have to fight with her to get her to eat in the morning when she has these. I never had that problem with other waffles.
The waffles also don’t offer many blueberries in them. I have had cheaper brands before and this has never been a real issue until I bought this brand. I think they use maybe half the blueberries other brands do and their blueberries are definitely smaller in size.
I plan on buying blueberry waffles for my daughter in the future and will look to save money whenever I can. But, this won’t be a brand I will be buying.

Aunt Jemima - Blueberry Waffles
Aunt Jemima - Blueberry Waffles proved to be just as disappointing as the blueberry pancakes, also made by Aunt Jemima, although unlike the blueberry pancakes, at least these waffles do not suffer from the same problems that frozen pancakes do: namely falling apart easily. The only reason I decided ...

Our Family Blueberry Waffles
We were out of frozen waffles and, since they are my daughter’s favorite breakfast food, I decided I should pick some up while I was at the grocery store last night. I ended up buying the Our Family brand of waffles because of the price. The better known brands were ...

Eggo Blueberry Waffles

Albertsons Homestyle Waffles
I will only purchase Albertsons Homestyle Waffles when they are on sale and I can get a box for one dollar. Ten waffles come in a box, and at a dollar, I find the price to be the best deal out there even compared with other store brand waffles. ...

Aunt Jemima Frozen Buttermilk Waffles
Aunt Jemima Frozen Buttermilk Waffles are just as good as Eggo waffles. In fact, if I were served one plate of Eggo waffles and one plate of these waffles, and I was not told which was which, I would not be able to tell which was which brand. As ...

Smucker’s Blueberry Syrup
I wasn't too pleased with this blueberry syrup. The main reason that I wasn't very satisfied with this syrup is because it wasn't as thick as the syrup I'm used to using, and that syrup is made and sold by Log Cabin. This syrup from Smucker's was more watery ...

Van’s Natural Foods 8 Whole Grains Waffles
I didn't care too much for these waffles. I decided to give them a try because of the heart-healthy whole grains being a major ingredient in these waffles, but what bothered me about them is they tasted saltier than the waffles I'm used to, namely the Kroger Multigrain Waffles. ...

Buckwheat Waffles Pasadena CA

Kroger Cinnamon Waffles
These waffles from Kroger are kind of bland. There certainly is some cinnamon flavor baked into these waffles, but it's not enough to win me over. The cinnamon becomes particularly difficult to taste when I add a butter spread and syrup. Even if I skip the syrup, which I ...
