All my life, I have always used really expensive moisturizers. Well, ever since I could afford to buy expensive moisturizers. I used to use Hope in a Jar by philosophy. Recently, since money has been really tight for me I decided to downgrade on my beauty products and make up. I have recently gone back to drug store brands and cheap moisturizers. I do no care much about make up but I am very picky about the face wash and moisturizers that I put on my face. When I decided to stop using Philosophy products and go back to drugstore moisturizers, I had to do a lot of research to find just the right and good enough moisturizer. I did do a lot of research. However, in the end all I had to do was remember the moisturizer that my mom used to use when I was a little girl. She would even put it on my face every once in a while and I still remember how wonderful it felt and smelled. I think the reason why I like the smell so much is because of the memories attached with it. A lot of
people actually complain about the smell. I, on the other hand, love the smell because I have happy memories attached with it.

I have been using this moisturizer for more than two weeks now, and I am in love with it, I do not know why I did not start using it sooner, considering it would have saved me a lot of money. My skin has never felt better. It has not made me break out so far, which is amazing. I usually wash my face and then tone it and then apply Pond’s dry skin cream as the third and the final step. I only use this moisturizer at night because it is so thick. If I used it during the day, my face would be oily all day long. However, at night, I don’t have a problem with it being oily since you do need more moisture during the nighttime than you do during the daytime. I wake up every morning with my face feeling so soft. I will never buy another moisturizer ever again. My mom used to use this, and her skin is amazing. She has very few wrinkles at 49 years of age.

The only thing that concerned me initially about Pond’s was that it contains mineral oil. While doing my research, countless websites informed me that mineral oil was really bad for your skin. However, upon conducting more research I found out that mineral oil is actually good for your skin since it acts as a barrier between your skin and the harmful toxins in the environment. I have hears both sides of the argument and honestly, I do not really know which one is right. However, I have been using Pond’s, which contains mineral oil, for more than two weeks now and have not had any adverse effects. So, I think I will continue using it.
