I first tried this moisturizer when my sister convinced me that Olay made the best moisturizers ever, and this one was her favorite one. So, I decided to buy it since it was less expensive than my usual moisturizer. Also, it claims to be light, non-greasy, dermatologist tested and that it won’t clog pores. It also claims to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I did not need to hear anymore. I immediately went ahead and bought it. I have been using this moisturizer for about two months now. The container was pretty big, so it has lasted me quite a while. My initial reaction upon using this moisturizer was, “what is that smell.” Before I even start reviewing this product, I have to complain about the smell. I absolutely hate it because it is so strong. I do not mind the smell itself, it smells like roses and baby powder. However, I don’t want my moisturizer smelling like roses, because changes are its and added fragrance and that’s not good for your skin. I am getting used to the smell, however, it still really bother me every time I use it. I alternate this moisturizer with Pond’s. I must say, Pond’s is much more moisturizing. However, on those days when I feel like my skin does not need as much moisture, I will go ahead and use this one since it is less moisturizing. I usually just wash my face, tone it and then apply this moisturizer. I have not had any adverse effects from using this lotion. However, I have no seen significant changes either. It claims to diminish the appearance of fine line and wrinkles. I’m in my 20’s so I don’t really have to worry about wrinkles. However, I do have minor laugh lines and crows feet. I have not seen any changes with my laugh lines or crows feet after using this moisturizer. On the positive site, it has not made me break out. I only use this moisturizer at night because it does not contain any SPF. So, I have to use a different face lotion during the daytime that has SPF 15. I could use the Olay moisturizer and then apply sunscreen on top of that but that is too much work, especially in the mornings when I am in such a hurry to dash out the door. I do not have any complains about this moisturizer since it has not made me break out. However, it has not lived up to its promises of diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles either. I will go ahead and finish the bottle that I purchased. However, I will not be purchasing it again. I think I will stick to Pond’s from now on. But my sister loves this moisturizer and has been using it for years now. I guess everyone’s skin is different and they have their own preferences. Like I mentioned before, I will go ahead and finish this one. However, I will definitely not be buying this product again. Rating: 4
