For a little under $200 you get a killer flat iron. I got mine on sale for a lot cheaper, I believe I paid around $70 on amazon. This iron will not only give you a sleep straight do by flattening and straightening hair but it will also create a flip at the bottom of your hair or curl it too.
Before I purchased this model I tried a conair model and another brand of ceramic flat iron that I got at a beauty supply store. I paid over $70 for the two irons combined and boy do I wish that I had just saved my money and purchased this one first. The difference in how hot it gets, and how quickly it works means that I will never need to buy another brand of straight iron again.
Before I purchased this model If I wanted a straight hairstyle I needed to towel dry my hair, blow it dry with a round brush and then go over each piece several times with a straight iron. It took forever. A pass with the iron would straighten it, but it was not that straight so I always had to do it over and over. With the chi iron I go over each section once and it is so effective that I do not even need to use a round brush to straighten my hair with the hairdryer before I use the flat iron. I have saved a good 30 minutes from my hair routine with this machine.
I have really thick curly hair and this straight iron gets it so silky smooth and straight. It makes my hair look so wonderful. I have a habit of straightening my hair with a flat iron before I curl it because it looks better. When I would go on vacation I would take both my curling iron and my flat iron to achieve the look I like. This iron is just like the one my stylist uses. I can straighten my hair, give a little flip to the ends if I want, or wind pieces of hair around it to get some curl. I now never take my curling iron on vacation with me. i only take the chi iron. In fact I almost never use the curling iron anymore at home either.
I give this a strong 10. Anyone who straightens their hair needs this product. Nothing else on the market can compare with this flat iron even closely.

gets really hot quickly.

the cons of this product:
it takes a long time to cool off.
doesn’t have temp or setting controls
there are a lot of fake chis out there and it is hard to tell which are authentic. You don’t get is with a drug store brand.
it gets so hot you do not want to use it daily so that you will not over work your hair.
