This machine is as simple as a coffee maker gets. There are no bells and whistles on this coffee maker at all. I believe this machine came from Walmart. I know that we chose this machine based on the price alone. We used this as a guest room coffee maker for years until our kitchen model died. This is only a back up machine for us while we decide what we would like in our next machine.
This coffee maker cost us around $20 and makes 12 decent cups of coffee. It does not have a timer it only has an on off switch and does not have an auto shut off. This machine is meant to have an auto switch off for when you want to pour a cup of coffee before the machine is done brewing. The machine does slow the rate at which coffee is coming out but it still drips and when coffee get on the burner it smokes and makes a burning smell.
What I like about this machine is it works ok. The coffee tastes fine. It is easy to fill up. The tank is large and easy to fill. The carafe is easy to pour and it is easy to pour water from the carafe into the tank.
What I do not like about this model is that it is the lowest model you can get. It is just like what you get in a motel. Only a couple of parts remove to clean. It is hard to clean the burner and it gets coffee on it a lot which smells. I also do not like how coffee tastes in this machine after it has been sitting on the burner for awhile. I think that coffee burns quicker on this model than other machines I have owned.
I recommend this model for a dorm or guest room or if you can only afford the $20 or so dollars it costs. There is a reason high end kitchen stores do not sell this. It makes an ok cup of coffee, but if you have ever had coffee from a really good machine you know there is a big taste difference. I really hate not having a timer or even a clock on my machine and prefer to spend a little more for better tasting coffee. Do not buy this machine if you want features or a good cup of coffee. Even Mr. Coffee makes a machine that has more features and makes a better cup of coffee at a reasonable cost.
The pros:
it is cheap.
it makes a decent cup of coffee.
the carafe is sturdy.
the carafe pours smoothly.
very easy to use.
on off switch is very easy to see and read.
cord storage to keep cord off of counter.

the cons:
it is difficult to place carafe on burner properly.
coffee burns on burner.
difficult to clean.
coffee tastes bitter sooner than other models.
