I had owned two Swift cars.The first one is driven on 10,000 Km and Second one on 15,000Km. The experience is really nice with some known cons.

I have selected swift because of it’s good driveability, consistent FE, popularity and resale value.

Drivability - Swift is fun to drive. The power steering is very good and smooth, though not as smooth as the Honda cars(I drive the ANHC now).
The car feels very stable even at high speeds, I touched 125 kmph. braking is also good.
The pickup is excellent and smooth. I never felt the car struggling to pickup even after 100 kmph with AC on.
If AC is increased to 2nd or 3rd level, there is slight reduction in pickup. But it is not irritating at all.

FE - The FE for me was around 12 in Jaipur city and close to 18 on highways. I keep the AC on around 60-70% time.

Build - The build quality is good, feels like made of heavy metal and exteriors don’t get bent easily.
The interiors look good except the front area, where they could have provided factory fitted music system.

Looks - To be frank, I like only the front look of the car, Getz and UVA looked much better to me, but swift won in other aspects.

Space - The boot space is very less for luggages. It could only take one med sized suitcase and a mid sized bag. The space for the front two passengers is very good, but it is little cramped for the rear passengers.

Problems faced - I never faced any major issues in any of the cars. There were couple of minor issues as mentioned below:

1. Reverse gear shifting issue - Sometimes the rev gear does not engage properly. But I think it is not really a problem.
I read in the ANHC manual that the clutch should be kept pressed for few seconds before shifting to reverse. This might help in case of swift also.

2. Rattling sounds - It was not much. There was some rattling sound from somewhere, I could not figure out exactly from where.
Every time during service the dealer used to fix it and reappeared after few hundred km s. It was not a big problem though.

This car is ideal for small family and if you drive the car yourself. It’s a driver’s car with good FE, reliability and service network.
