Hyatt Regency Hong Kong HotelItem: Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Sha Tin Hotel
The hotel is surrounded by business districts. No problem catching up with some urgent workload back in the office. Although it is not located in the city proper, metro station is just around the corner. So no problem whenever I want to visit the city and do some shopping or exploring.
Customer service is commendable. The crew welcomed me with some refreshing drinks and cold towel. I didn’t have to wait for long anyway since front desk was fast. The bell boy who ushered me was friendly. Housekeeping threw in several favors for me.
The room was huge. Closet was big enough to accommodate guests who are staying for long. There overall set up is modern. Bed was elevated by a platform and a huge painting was used to cover one side of the wall. It provided a sense of calmness inside the room. All the facilities are in good condition. Everything was spotless and dust-free. I knew that the restaurant is famous so I had to reserve a table before hand. I got really disappointed after finding out that they didn’t honor my reservation. I was provided with a seat at the far end corner of the room. The waiter didn’t even utter an apology. It was so inconvenient. Goof thing food tasted great. Otherwise I would have walked out. There was a fitness center. The incident at the hotel made me want to do some exercise routines. However I got more disappointed when I saw the gym. The equipments were old, carpet is dusty and full of stains. It smelled like old wood inside as if the facility has not been used for the longest time. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to others. If not for the room, I might feel the urge to demand for refund. Rating: 5
