WellbutrinItem: Wellbutrin
Several years ago, my husband and I decided to quit smoking. My doctor prescribed Wellbutrin to curb cravings, and also as an anti-depressent. My husband and I each took our respective medication exactly as the doctor had prescribed it.
My husband had no problems with the medicine. I had a strong reaction to it. About an hour after taking the Wellbutrin, my heart began to race. It felt like it would pound right out of my chest. I began to sweat and shake and felt chills all through It wasn’t until I went to the emergency room that I realized this was a reaction to the Wellbutrin. I was told that about 1-2% of patients taking this medication will have a reaction like this. It was similar to a panic attack, and I was treated with Obviously I didn’t continue to take the Wellbutrin. Mine was a rare reaction to the medication. My husband continued to take it and it helped him with his cigarette cravings, and he had no adverse effects at all. So although I would not personally recommend this product, I know that it works for some people, and it was a big help for my husband in quitting smoking. Rating: 5
