Andrew BrandtItem: Andrew Brandt
I am a regular reader of National Football Post and one of the main reasons for that is regular columnist Andrew Brandt. I am familiar with Brandt from his days with the Green Bay Packers as one of their money people but he has experience as an agent as well. That experience makes him an extremely interesting writer to follow. Every week, a couple times each week, he gives legitimate insight into team money matters and what factors go into determining whether to sign a player or cut someone. It’s insight that you honestly are not going to get from your average sports writer simply because they have always been on the outside looking in. They have never been in a position where they had to make actual decisions regarding that stuff. It’s his experience, both as a team executive and as an agent trying to fight for his client to get as much money out of the team as possible that give him a unique perspective about things that go on in the NFL on a daily basis. If you are an NFL fan, you are missing out on something if you aren’t visiting the National Football Post on a regular basis and reading Andrew Brandt’s columns. A lot of other sports sites probably would love to have his expertise on a daily basis rather than some of the guys they have to settle for. Rating: 6
