I had been having an issue with my dishwasher in the apartment I was renting in Calgary, Alberta, and after several months of trying to get the property manager to get it fixed, I was finally visited by a plumber. I answered the door and was happy to finally see that someone was going to fix my problem, and he handed me his company card and I saw that he was from a company I had never heard of, with the clever name of Action Auger The Gentlemen Plumbers. I explained the problem, that my dishwasher leaked every third or fourth time I used it, but that there were weeks were it didn’t leak at all. He asked if I had seen where the leak was coming from, and I showed him where I had seen some water dripping from. He took his tools and looked inside the dishwasher, and within 10 minutes, he told me that it could be one of two things, and that he may have fixed it. He turned the dishwasher on, gave me his cell number, and told me to call him if it started leaking again, because he was going to be making another service call in the apartment building. He said that if I called him directly, rather than call the property manager, he would get back to me much quicker. He also said that, even if he was gone for the day, I could call him directly and he would come back, again without having to deal with the property manager. The dishwasher did not leak again until a week later, so I decided to call this company directly so that I didn’t have to wait. I actually mistakenly called the technician’s cell phone, although I meant to call the company, and he was extremely nice and not at all inconvenienced. He said that he could come the next morning, as he would be working in the area, but that I would have to be home. He gave me a one hour window, which for me is unheard of and greatly appreciated. He arrived promptly, worked for about 30 minutes, and again told me that if I had any issues to give him a call. This time, he fixed the problem, and I greatly appreciated the extra mile he went to make sure my issue was solved, and went out of his way to make sure I was able to deal with him directly. Action Auger The Gentlemen Plumbers is a great plumbing company that gives exceptional customer service. Although I cannot speak for the prices for their services, the technician gave me several coupons to give out to friends, offering 20% off all plumbing services for the rest of this year. I would recommend using this company to anyone who has plumbing needs. Rating: 9
