Nokia users know the abilities and innovations the Nokia company brings with every new series of phones they release. Recently, they released the Nokia N900 in the Europe as well as disappointing Nokia N97 and the upcoming Nokia N97 Mini. The Nokia N96 came before those three. Nonetheless, Nokia’s N95 8GB proves to top it all. Though it may not have the sleek design the N96 has or the microSD slot its predecessor, the original N95 has, or the N900’s whopping 32GB flash memory, the simplicity and power the N95 8GB possesses, is what makes this phone the top of its kind. Built in with 8GB of flash memory, the phone’s memory is partitioned into two different partitions: phone memory, and flash drive memory. Adding the fact that the Nokia PC Suite may be a hassle to install just to sync the N95 8GB with a PC, the software makes organizing calenders, contacts, note, etc. via Microsoft Outlook. If the owner possess an unlimited data plan from a service provider, tethering, or in other words, using the N95 8GB as a wireless modem, connecting a laptop to the internet anywhere where there’s a phone connection becomes extremely simply with the Nokia PC Suite. Using the phone for more than two year now, I must ultimately claim the N95 8GB as Nokia’s ultimate smartphone. The only con I see about this phone is the price for US customers considering how the US’s only GSM providers, AT&T and T-Mobile, do not carry this phone, thus not being able to get a good contract deal for this beauty. But with the 5 megapixel camera, built in assisted GPS, amazing sound quality with its built-in digital equalizer, its uncanny ability to fully view java in the web browser, meaning you’re able to watch Youtube directly from the browser as if you were on a laptop/desktop, and finally its 8GB flash memory, makes me give two thumbs up for this device. Since there are a handful of newer, but not as good, phones are out, the retail price of this phone is more affordable now.
