Alkion Hotel in Sidari, Corfu, GreeceItem: Alkion Hotel in Sidari, Corfu, Greece
In September 2009 I went for 10 days to Alkion Hotel in Sidari, Corfu, Greece. I chose this hotel for it’s good price and because of the reviews that were mostly good and very good. I went there with some friends of my age and we had a really great time during our stay.
Rooms – The rooms were basic but very clean. The furniture was in good shape and nothing was looking old. The TV set was a little bit too small but we didn’t use it much so this wasn’t a problem. The bathroom was also looking good and very clean. The maid came every day to clean our room and she changed the towels a few times during our stay. Food – We went at this hotel on a half board basis and in the end we were very happy we chose to do this way. The food was very good quality. For breakfast we had 2 slices of toast, butter, jam, coffee or tea, orange juice and a choice from yoghurt with honey, fruit salad, milk with corn flakes or croissant. For 2.5€ you could also have a full English breakfast. Dinner consisted in a 3 course meal with: starter, main course and dessert. For each course we had 4 or 5 choices and one of them was a traditional Greek dish. All the food was delicious and the portions were very large. Pool area – The pool area was surrounded by plenty of loungers and umbrellas. The water was very clean and had a good temperature. However we didn’t spend much time at the pool as we preferred to go to the beach to sunbath. Overall we had a great holiday at Alkion Hotel and I don’t have any bad thing to say about this place.
