Sunshine Snacks Chee ZeesItem: Sunshine Snacks Chee Zees
While I’ve tried to avoid buying snacks like these recently because they are anything but healthy, and I want to keep my weight down, I still find it hard to resist buying cheesy snacks like this once in a while. I’ve found that Chee Zees are neither too cheesy nor too bland for me to fully enjoy; and because the taste is almost perfect, I always find myself using every ounce of willpower I have not to buy another pack when I have already eaten one. “Chee Zees” are especially great when they are fresh and crispy, so I will only buy those that are due to expire months after the month I bought them in.
One small forty five gram pack of Chee Zees is usually quite affordable too. I have not bought one for months now, but the last time I did, the price of one was somewhere between JA $30 and JA $45. Chee zees are normally found in the Trinidadian snacks section too, since the product is made and manufactured in Port of Spain, Trinidad. When I was younger especially, Chee Zees were a craze amongst children when they just came out. However, these days I don’t see many Jamaicans eating it as much especially when most seem to be buying Jamaican snacks and supporting our local industry. Despite the fact that Chee Zees taste okay, I wouldn’t recommend it to be eaten regularly. The first reason is because it contains Monosodium Glutmate, which I heard increases the risk of cancer; the second reason is because it has a total of 260 calories and the third, because there is nothing truly healthy about it.
