Planet Hollywood which is part of the bright main strip land of Las Vegas was a big structure with flashy lights. But the rooms were like all ordinary resorts I have been. There was not very posh feel of main strip of Las Vegas. But the view from the window was excellent. It captured other delightful structures and lights which were very eye catching.
Planet Hollywood looked much renovated compared to other houses at Las Vegas. And the service nature was also good. Especially I was impressed by the hospitality of people at the restaurants at Planet Hollywood. There were at least half a dozen of fine restaurants inside. The PF Chang’s though it was a chain gave great Chinese food. The buffet at Planet Hollywood was well worth the money and perhaps the best buffet I had at Las Vegas main strip.
The gambling conditions at Planet Hollywood did not excite me very much. As usual the minimum bets were high. But the problem was that the rules were tighter than other joints in the strip. Blackjack games started from eight decks and six deck tables were also there. However double deck games were scarce. Roulette tables were expensive and were not very fun with the dealers.
The poker area was good large and spacious. Even though the number of tables was not very high, but the play ambience was good. Players were not locals; it was predominantly tourists. So there were some players who really were blowing away the money. Even average players may be able to fair good here if they play sensibly. The dealers at the Texas hold ‘em tables were very well maintaining the games.
One other highlight I noticed at Planet Hollywood was the shopping experience there. After Caesar’s my second best shopping experience at Las Vegas strip was at Planet Hollywood. The Miracle mile shopping experience was a unique kind of one. There were numerous shops which had all good brands but at a price. This mall was very close to the hotel and was very convenient.
Planet Hollywood had all the properties of a good upbeat casino of Las Vegas. The security and parking were very well maintained. The valet parking staff was very fast and I felt very good and easy there. I would love this place more if they decrease the minimum bets required at their tables. I will surely recommend Planet Hollywood to my friends and relatives. One thing I am sure. In my next to Las Vegas visit I will definitely go and enjoy the restaurants at Planet Hollywood again.
