Nokia E90

I’ve been using this device for over one year now, and I really have to say that it’s worth every cent.
Calling the E90 “a phone”, would be underestimating the amazing capabilities of this device. I switched from my old Nokia 9300i Communicator to the E90 very easily by transferring over Bluetooth both my data and contacts. The whole process took less than 5 minutes.
The E90 has an outstanding performance when it comes to office applications, email and internet browsing.

Editing even Microsoft Office 2007 files is supported through QuickOffice which comes pre - installed. Third party applications for editing photos, music and videos.

It’s connectivity is one of the strongest points. Edge, HSCSD, 3G, Wifi, bluetooth, infrared and mini USB. Even my laptop isn’t that heavily equipped.
Nowadays many devices have email support; so does the E90… no big deal. But when it comes to internet navigation the E90 really makes the difference. It’s internal screen has a resolution of 800×352 pixels, so you can see the whole page without the need to scroll continuously. Typing emails or posting in blogs or social sites is very easy since the E90 features full qwerty keyboard.

Rich of multimedia features, the E90 is capable of voice recording, high resolution photo and video capture with the main 3.15 megapixel camera with auto-focus. Multi format video and audio playback supporting the mos popular file formats available (with the new firmware even flash movies). Stereo speakers with 3D effects available for ringtones.

What about the navigation? The only thing I don’t like of the E90 is the internal GPS. It takes a while to get a satellite lock. On my device up to 3 minutes. Once locked everything works fine and it updates my position regularly. The E90 comes with Nokia Maps pre-installed, but I strongly suggest a third party navigation software. You will notice that for some unknown reasons it will perform much faster.

If you are planning to buy a Nokia E90, do yourself a favor and do not hesitate. It’s an investment you will not regret. It will save precious time and increase your productivity on the go. It’s like having your PC in your pocket.
