Wells Fargo BankItem: Wells Fargo Bank
I have been with Wells Fargo Bank for long time - even before it was Wells Fargo Bank, and was First Interstate Bank. As far as banks go, I would rate it about average, with all the other banks. I understand Wells Fargo is a very respectable bank and has been in business for a very long time.
Being an established bank, however, does not mean that they don’t create errors. For example, whenever they change their computer system procedures, they always setup my 3 accounts incorrectly. I can almost tell when they’ve made changes to their computer system, by each time they setup my accounts incorrectly, and I find the error. This time, they charged me a service charge on an account, when I had enough balances on the combined accounts to not warrant a service charge (by their rules). I just called them, and they assured me they have the problem corrected, however, as soon as they make another computer change, I’ll know it, because this problem will show up, again. I enjoy dealing with an established bank, versus one I don’t know, however I feel I have to monitor everything they do, because they are constantly making errors that should not be made. On the other hand, I’ve been with Wells Fargo a long time, and I don’t know what kind of errors other banks make. Just beware that they are a large bank organization, and are in the “impersonal” category, because of their size. Rating: 5
