Rowan Atkinson, or better known as Mr Bean to many, is etched on my mind as the man with the goldfish eyes, slack face and disgusting habits. He comes across as really cheap and rather annoying; however he has provided endless hours of inane entertainment. I have first watched him in the TV series of Mr Bean, and have never failed to laugh even if I had watched the shows before.
When his movies were released, I would make sure to watch them, either at the movies or buy DVDs. Atkinson carries on conversations in the movies – clear and proper English enunciation - compared to his few words and grunts on TV. His exchanges are just as silly as him, which often made me laugh aloud.
The most memorable was the Johnny English movie, in which he bumped his way through and made inane mistakes. The way he delivered his excuses was amusing – he could look at you in that snotty way of his and explain away his bumblings! Atkinson has brought me a lot of laughter – despite his absurdity, he is really a first class entertainer !
