Me being the type of person I am, Woman that is, I have always been against the patch. I haven’t had a desire to use birth control of any kind. I don’t have many kids, I only have two and I think that my decision has been just fine. My husband felt that I need to get some type of birth control so I went ahead and listened to him for whatever reason. Believe me, I debated against it for a long time but once I lost the fight I made a doctors appointment and did what I had to do.

I chose to go with the Patch (Ortho Evra because nothing else really hit me as interesting. I wasn’t into getting anything stuck into me or having someone stick me with a needle. I thought maybe the safest thing would be having something stuck to my skin. So I went ahead and let him put the patch on me. My first 3 months using the patch was the worst 3 motnhs of my life.

I hated every waking second I wore the patch. First of all it made me extremly moody. My Husband wanted to know what was going on with me because I was always yelling and going off. I guess all of the hormones that were being produced wasn’t helping and plu sI wasn’t getting a period while on Ortho Evra.

Another thing I didn’t like about Ortho Evra was that it caused my legs to hurt. I couldn’t figure out for the life of me what was going on. I went to my doctor and the fool told me that I was developing blood clots in my legs due to the birth control I was using. This was exactly why I wasn’t interested in using Birth control in the first place. I have always thought it to be un natural and un safe.

I ended up throwing out the whole Ortho Evra idea and leaving the birth control idea alone. If my husband wanted me on birth control then he could take it him self.
