University of Bedfordshire in Luton, UKItem: University of Bedfordshire in Luton, UK
After spending 3 years at this institution I believe I can give a fair and valid review that is both honest and truthful. If you are looking for a University that will rewards you financially for being a student there than this is indeed a good choice. Each full time student is eligible to receive a at least a bursary of £1000 a year for studying there. This is free money that you never have to pay back. If you’re also looking for a University that will reward you academically than I would avoid this like the plague.
Most of the lectures minus a few exceptions need a reality check and need to come down off their high horse. They all regards themselves as experts in their field and will not hesitate to tell you about all the wonderful high paying jobs they had before coming to the University. The standard of teaching is absolutely dreadful to the point where you can’t even understand what they are saying. Yeah, that’s right most of the lecturers can hardly speak English so you are stuck at a huge disadvantage even from the very start. Most of them have not a clue how to even structure a lesson and they give out the same repetitive assignments over and over again. I’m speaking mainly from the computing department of the University. The other departments may be better, I could only hope. Rating: 3
