If it is your first time travelling to Singapore, and you bring children with you then, Singapore Science Center is one good place to go. Even adults would be enjoying themselves here too because there are lots of attractions separated in many themed sections.
I would suggest you reserve a day to go to this place and buy the package tour for three different places of interests in this site. With one ticket you would be able to access the Singapore Science Center, the Omni Theater and Snow City. If you do that you could pay less for three interesting spots at once. I suggested this because Jurong East is quite far from other tourist attractions so it could save a lot of time and energy by doing this at once. If you wanted to go there, the easiest way is to take taxi. But it would cost a lot, especially if your hotel is not at the same area. You can take MRT (Mass Rapid Transportation, the subway train in Singapore) to Jurong East Station, and catch a taxing from the station. Or, if you’re really short of budget, you might like to consider buses. Maybe your kids would want to bring swimsuits to this place. I am not saying about a large themed pool, but there are waterworks section where your kids could play with lots of water. Don’t worry about the changing room, because this place has shower rooms enough for visitors who play in waterworks. Snow city, from the name you can imagine how it would looks like. But if you came from tropical countries and never see snow before, you might want to see this place. If you’re considering Snow City as one of the place you would like to go here, you might be happy if you have prepared with long pants, and maybe gloves. Because long pants is a must when you’re entering this place, you would need to rent the pants once you need to enter the Snow City. Jacket and boots would be lent for free. Omni Theater is not one I would suggest you to come. The entrance fee is rather expensive and you just watch a movie in a dome-screen theater for less than an hour. Only if you’re really curious what an omni theater would looks like, then you go ahead and see. Spending a day in this place is not a hard work. You can go to the cafe inside the Science Center or McDonalds near the Omni Theater to get lunch or maybe dinner too. There are plenty restrooms which are clean and well maintained. I believe this could be a great experience to go to this place with family. Rating: 9
