I have tried many different kinds of pain medication because I suffer from fibromyalgia. Mersyndol was very fast working and I could feel the effects of the muscle relaxant, something I have found most pain killers do not include, within ten minutes. My legs which are usually very stiff became quite fluid and walking became a lot easier than it has been for me in a long time.

The tablets are quite large which makes the caplets an easier option to swallow than a round pill. They are not coated and are quite chalky. I am very careful to avoid touching them with my tongue because they taste of a very strong bitterness.

There is a slight high that comes from taking two or three tablets at once that lasts for a few hours but this disappears over time.

I have found it is best to take Mersyndol before going to bed, since pain has often kept me asleep and sometimes woken me up during the night. They do make me drowsy and this is an expected side effect.

It is easy for me having experienced the high to understand that some people find Mersyndol addictive so I am careful about taking it only when I am experiencing severe pain and not excessively or when it is not really needed. I have never noticed any side effect from not taking it for weeks or months at a time.
