I’ve learned that once a cat pee’s in one area of the carpet they will keep coming back to that same area to pee again unless the mess if cleaned up. I have one specific cat that continues to pee in the corners of the carpet in the apartment, and I’ve tried many times to get rid of the smell to no avail. I’ve used dish detergents, soaps, even ammonia, which is something that I heard can make the smell worse!

I literally get sick to my stomach each time I have to walk into the apartment to the strong smell of cat pee, permeating the air. So I went to Kroger one evening and decided to look for some kind of cat pee remover. I came across Arm & Hammer Pet Fresh Carpet and Room Odor Eliminator. A lady in the aisle told me that she had used it herself for her own apartment and that it worked really well to get rid of pet odors.

When I used it for the first time, sprinkling it down on the carpet, I noticed how amazing it smelled. The cat pee must have been set in for about two years or so, so it was really amazing to me that in about a half hour, the smell was virtually gone! I tested it by stepping outside of the apartment for a while so that my nose could adjust and then stepping back in. Instead of having the smell of cat pee hitting me in the face, I could smell fresh baking soda and powder. It was just great. However, the cat still goes to pee in the same spots again which is still a problem so I don’t know if it’s because the cat can still smell its cat pee or if the litter box just isn’t as clean as it should be. All I know is that the Baking soda Odor Eliminator is amazing.
