Ipod ToucheItem: Ipod Touche
Apple’s newest ipod is the ipod Touch. The ipod Touch comes in three different sizes dependent on your needs. The cheapest Touch is the 8gb which is plenty enough space for my 700 songs and numerous number of apps. The 8g starts around 229.99 for the newest version, the 2g. The other two versions are the 16gb and 32gb versions. The 16gb is around $299 and has a longer battery life than a 8gb. A 32gb version has even longer battery life but starts at $399.
Now, many people are probably thinking, is $230 worth it when I could get a similar mp3 player for maybe even half the price. This was a question that haunted me before I bought mine. The difference between a mp3 player and an Apple Ipod Touch is the quality, beauty, and reliability of an Apple product. I’ve had my Ipod Touch for well over a year now, and I still think that it’s a magnificent piece of technology. Not only did it work amazingly but it felt amazing as well. Unlock my previous mp3 players, the Ipod Touch allowed me to scroll through music with ease and there was no delay no matter how fast I “flicked” through the music. If you’re a new to Apple products like I was, your probably thinking what the benefits of an expensive mp3 are. Let me tell you, the Ipod Touch not only has a perfect music interface, but also allows downloads from the Apple appstore. As some of you might have heard, the appstore now has over a billion downloads. This shows a strong Ipod economy which almost guarantees longer use. Although many things about the Touch are flawless, it does have its cons. First of all, the first thing you notice about the Touch after your first day are the stains. The Ipod Touch literally sucks up fingerprints, and that’s not just the screen. Since the back is nothing but shiny chrome, every part that touches skin would be covered in prints. In addition, the Touch doesn’t have as long of a battery life as I would have liked. My 8gb Touch’s batteries would drain in one day of constant app use. Finally, I’ll talk about the most important part of the Touch: The Ipod. The Touch has excellent battery life when playing just songs and that battery life can be extended further by turning the screen off with the sleep button. One thing many people don’t know about is the Touch’s ability to go to sleep yet play music. In addition, the Ipod Touch has a handy double-click home button feature that allows for music control even when the Touch is locked. In Conclusion, this product is worth all the money you pay if not more, and has the best bang for your buck deal I’ve ever seen in any product. Rating: 9
