I use Calpol which is a low dose paracetamol tablet to fight headache. It also works well for slight fever and cold. If my headache persists even after hours of applying Vicks Vapo Rub, I go for Calpol. There was not even a single occurrence where my headache didn’t alleviate. I don’t take Calpol as the first measure because I have heard that using Calpol too frequently will reduce its effectiveness on you. So don’t make it a habit to take Calpol for all slight headaches. Take it only if the headache is persisting and unbearable.
For me Calpol has not caused any side effects. I have been using this for years. It didn’t cause any dizziness or tiredness for me. My physician also recommended me this medicine. For some people paracetamol tablets may cause adverse side effects. So make sure you ask you physician before trying Calpol. Even if you get a go ahead node don’t make it habit to take Calpol for all headaches. That will make it into a situation where this medicine stops working for you.
Calpol is easily in available in all medical shops. Also it is not very costly. It is available in strips of ten. In my experience I have felt that Calpol gets more effective when I take it after food. I also don’t take high doses. One tablet per day works fine for me.
One or two Calpol tablets always find place in my travel kit. Be it long trip or short trip, I will take a Vicks bottle and two Calpol tablets with me. This habit has helped me throughout my life and helped me get one step closer to be healthy and smiling all times.
Headache always lets me down both physically and mentally. At those trying times I use Calpol to my rescue. It hasn’t disappointed me till now. Calpol tablet remains to be my ever dependable medicine against headache.
