Portland Trailblazers in review

Item: Portland Trailblazers

The Portland Trailblazer’s started the offseason with a BIG BANG during the ‘06 NBA draft. Made 6 trades during the night that netted them the 2nd overall pick Lamarcus Aldridge from the Chicago Bulls. They also acquired the rights for the 6th overall pick Brandon Roy and Raef Lafrentz from the Boston Celtics for the rights to the 7th pick and Sebastian Telfair.
Another pending trade being mulled has the team getting former all star Jamaal Magloire for Brian Skinner, Steve Blake, and 7-3 center Ha Seun Jin. This move should create a clot at the 5 position since the team has locked-up starting center Joel Pryzbilla and draftee Aldridge for the C position.
Overall outlook of the should be bleak for the immediate future but, once the youth movement starts paying off when players like Roy, Webster, Aldridge develop into formidable players. Look for this team. Should be a 3-4 year drougth though before the team reaps out it’s benefit.
