99 Cent Store (Las Vegas, NV)Item: 99 Cent Store (Las Vegas, NV)
There are only a few stores where you can basically fill up a basket with stuff and leave with only paying around ten dollars or less. One of these fantastic places is the 99 Cent Store that I frequent on Spring Mountain Road up the hill next to the Sam’s Club that I also go once a week. I love this store, and I think it is just such a shame that other States aside from the West Coast don’t have them. I had never even heard of them until I loved out West and only because my cousin, who is a fanatic saver, told me about it. But once I went in, I was a fan. The 99 Cent store that I go to has not only canned foods and candies that you’d generally think is cheap to buy, but also a whole produce and dairy section. Of course instead of getting sixteen slices of cheese, you’d get only six, or instead of a half gallon of milk, only a third of a carton, but for 99 cents what would you expect? But they have tons of other things like household items like dishes and cups, but also utensils and potholders. They also have a decent section of cleaning supplies, from laundry detergent to dish liquid. Again, I can almost find everything I need to use on a daily basis and the best thing again, everything is only 99 cents. I defy anyone who can find all that and more and pay ten dollars. It just isn’t possible and this place has saved me tons of money. I honestly can do a week’s worth of grocery shopping there and get everything I need and want for around 15 dollars. It’s just the most marvelous place in the world. About the only thing I can’t stand there is the line wait. It seems like almost every time I am ready to check out, everyone else in the store is also ready to head out as well. The cashiers mostly speak Spanish but they do understand English and pretty much all of them are nice if not into chatting it up with the customers waiting in line. And in that case, it’s actually a good thing. But I am pretty much resigned to waiting at least 20 minutes, but really, for the savings I’m getting, it all evens out in my book. Again, if you have a 99 Cent store near you, you are probably nodding your head when I say this is an awesome store to shop in and for those of you that don’t have one. I’m so sorry. But no worries. When you go visit someone on the West Coast, be sure to mention it to them and they’ll more than likely be delighted to take you there as it’ll be another opportunity for them to get things they want too as well as save money!
