If you feel your computer work slowly, then you should check the windows task manager. By using the windows task manager we can see which applications are running and can stop some of the less need for the windows system. This is useful to reduce memory consumption, which can slow computer.
But with only using the windows task manager just not enough to present the complete information. For that reason I use the additional software that is Process Explorer as support or as a substitute for the windows task manager. I download this software through the official website at sysinternals.com with file size just 1.56 Mb. By using the process explorer I can dig up more information in the computer and categorize the process that running in several colors. The purpose is to help me in knowing each process and to enter a category that required by windows system or not. For example, blue and purple is the application process, while the color pink is used for service windows. By using this software I can also know the names of the companies that make application from the running process and know the source location of a process For the most important, I use this software to detect computer viruses. Because local virus usually does not include name of the company and use the folder icon, word icon, or mp3 icon. So this software really help me to terminate process that unneeded by windows system so that can speed up the computer work and can be used to detect the existence of the virus to be cleared.
