The news is categorized in several different ways: area in the world, topic or media type. They offer live news streams, videos and also interactive services: chat, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

I think the web site design is simple and not too fancy. This is good, in my opinion, because I am just interested in reading the news. I appreciate the fact that the web site doesn’t contain advertisements. Some other new sites are way overblown with ads!

I love the fact that the news doesn’t cover only US news, but also other parts of the World. I also think that because the service is government supported, there is less bias because of financial interests. However, I am a little skeptical about political bias.

I don’t believe that objective reporting exists. Journalists and reporters are human beings like you and me. They have opinions, feelings and believes. They cannot give 100% objective news coverage, because no human being is 100% objective. However, I hope VOA’s news is more objective than other news networks. Why not take a look for yourself?
