The skin allergy is actually pretty bad and it has been nearly 1 year now, and I have yet to recover from it. The dermatologist first gave me something called Fucicort cream. It did not help after few tries and she decided to go for the stronger cream. The new cream’s name is Dermovate and it contains an ingredient called clobetasol propionate. Clobetasol propionate is actually a kind of medicine called topical corticosteroid.

The purpose of this cream is to apply on the areas with inflammation due to the skin allergy. I need to apply the cream twice a day. Surprisingly, this cream works perfectly and it heals within few weeks as compared to the Fucicort cream which is not as strong. However, one should be careful when using this cream because it is pretty strong. Never apply it close to your eyes and keep it away from children. Also, do not apply this cream on permanent basis because it contains certain ingredient which is not very good for your skin. The dermatologist told me to try the cream for 1 month or so and if it does not work, she will have to switch to other medicines.

Overall, the cream is useful for quick solution but unfortunately, my skin allergy does not go away that easily even after I finished the cream. It only heals the skin layer and not my body immune system which is causing the allergy. I ended up taking Chinese medicine and my condition is improving which is a good news for my family and myself.

For those who are suffering from skin allergy and inflammation, I would recommend you to consult your doctor or dermatologist. Normally, they would recommend you to take Fucicort which is easily available in most pharmacies. Dermovate will only be used if the condition is bad, and if Fucicort is no longer strong enough to cure it.
