Rosetta Stone Language Learning Software for SpanishItem: Rosetta Stone Language Learning Software for Spanish
I picked up the Rosetta Stone Language Learning Software after she worked through several of the discs and was speaking Spanish better than I was– and I was raised bilingual. While I was okay with speaking Spanish conversationally, I knew that I lacked the grammar skills that I need because I had never learned them and never wrote anything in Spanish before. As soon as my friend had run through the one Spanish program though I borrowed it from her and I totally liked what I saw.
For myself, already having a foundation in Spanish I was able to fly through the program, but I still learned a lot. I still went through the beginning even though I felt I already knew everything that was being taught. Going through this part reinforced my language foundation and got me comfortable with the style of the program so that I could easily get through the rest when I finally got to it. From the get go the program is super easy to get ahold of and follow. This helps because you don’t feel like learning this languages is impossible anymore and you want to just keep going. Not only did I use the program for myself though, but I brought it home for the rest of my brothers and sisters to use, who for some reason do not speak Spanish like my older brothers and sisters and I do. I made them use the program and each one was able to go at their own pace as they wanted. I was really surprised when all four of them actually kept going with the program and they are almost all the way through it and speaking Spanish which each other all the time. From a beginners standpoint I think they are doing great and they have definitely picked up pronunciation very well and I think it has a lot to do with the program because they didn’t have that in them already. I feel so much better now that I have made my way through the program, the price is a little high so I am happy that I was able to borrow it from a friend. If you have to buy it for yourself though, it is a very good and smart investment especially if you need to learn a language for a job or to improve your opportunities. If I had to buy the program I would and I am actually considering purchasing the French software program because I really need to improve on my French- which I was also raised speaking but have lost over time. I have Windows Vista and Windows XP installed on my computers and the software works fine with both. I have never had a problem with the software itself and it runs very smoothly and fast. It does not slow down my computer any or take up a lot of room so there is nothing to worry about there. Also, it is fine to use the same software for different users, my whole family almost is going through and using it. Rating: 10
