Midnight Poison ( For Women ) by Christian DiorItem: Midnight Poison ( For Women ) by Christian Dior
The classic POISON was something that I adored as an early favorite for females but last 2007, Midnight Poison was introduced as a deviation from the original scent. Jacques Cavallier and Olivier Cresp created this fragrance.
The face of the campaign was French actress Eva Green. The ad displayed a scenario wherein Green was dressed in an electric blue chic Cinderella gown. She was climbing up the stairs of a building and waiting in the balcony as the clock strikes 12 midnight. The bottle was ultramarine blue and the cover was black. It was very associative of midnight as its concept. The shape was similar to the previous Poison. The scent features mandarin orange and bergamot for its top notes. The heart is ruled by rose. Then for the base notes; it is vanilla, amber and patchouli. The appearance for me is very seductive. There was so much story on it. I like the ad as well. Eva Green captured the gothic look that was needed as well as the svelte figure that we associate when we sniff at this scent. I like that the ad gave a story like that. There was so much mystery and richness on it. It was like ” Twilight meets Enchanted”. For me the ad was perfect and it embrace so much creativity in it. As for the scent, I like the introduction and the dry down. It was still sweet like the original Poison. Though this one had more attitude, it was more sharp and it was modern. This is brilliant for a modern woman and great for whatever occasion. Rating: 10
