Lasix Furosemide 20mg tabletItem: Lasix Furosemide 20mg tablet
On the third trimester of pregnancy for my first child until after the delivery,I have noticed that both of my lower extremities are both so edematous and swollen. I can’t hardly lift them and they were so numb. The situation really gave me a hard time walking. And even if I try to elevate them, the edema never subsided.
Because of this, I ask my Obstetrician if I could possibly take Lasix Furosemide 20 mg tablet, a medication which increases urine output and decreases the edema on both lower extremities. It is usually used for patients with cardiac problem and renal problem. She laughed at me, saying, I don’t really need it. The problem, she said, will really subside on its own. However I really insisted because the edema on both my lower extremities was already preventing me from doing my usual activities. I ask her if it could possibly harm my breastfeeding for my baby and she said no unless I take so much as to compromise the water supply for the milk formation for my breast. And so I took Lasix Furosemide 20 tablet once a day for 3 days. I was too careful about my blood pressure since intake of Furosemide can cause its sudden decrease. I always took my blood pressure before taking it, making sure it is not less than 90/60 mmHg. I have noted that I have greater urine output during the time I took it and after three days, my edema was gone. Oh well, I don’t really recommend people to take this because not knowing the special precaution of this medication is really dangerous and may cause hypotension. Try asking your physician first before taking anything. Rating: 9
