I have had psoriasis for about 20 years and have recently found considerable relief with the occasional use of Clobetasol Proprionate ointment.
My most common problem areas are my elbows, my feet and some small patches on my wrists. Sometimes my psoriasis flare-ups have been severe, with acute itching, cracking and bleeding. Eventually, these sever flare-ups become very painful, on occasion to the point of being debilitating. Other times I have only small, dry patches which occasionally crack and bleed. For years I have tried various medications, treatments and natural remedies with limited success. About a year ago, my dermatologist prescribed Clobetasol Proprionate ointment. He told me it is a steriod ointment, and as such, should not be used constantly. He instructed me to use no more than two weeks at a time. I am very happy to report I have never had to use this ointment more than a few days at a time. Whenever I get a psoriasis flare-up, I apply a very small amount of this ointment. I have found that my psoriasis patches show almost immediate improvement. The itching stops almost immediately and the redness is gone in a few hours. I have found I usually see completely healed skin within 5 days of using this ointment only once a day. I also notice that I no longer have flare-ups as often. I do not know if it due to the occasional use of this ointment, but needless to say I am thrilled. Anyone who has psoriasis knows it can be a very painful and frustrating condition. Certainly, it can also be very embarrassing to have these unsightly patches of scaly, inflammed skin. I am very grateful for this ointment, and how it has improved my psoriasis condition. Clobetasol Proprionate has been a very effective treatment for me and has virtually eliminated any psoriasis issues for me. I rarely have to use this ointment anymore, but I am very happy to know that when I do I can expect almost immediate results. Rating: 10
