Triple Paste Diaper Rash CreamItem: Triple Paste Diaper Rash Cream
This cream rocks! Even with the most frequent diaper changes, babies can still get rashes, particularly from diarrhea which, brings about some of the worst and most painful diaper rashes. I worked in a childcare for a long time and for stubborn diaper rashes, I used to alternate ointment (like A&D) and cream (like desitin) every other diaper change. When my son came down with the flu and had diarrhea for an entire day, his little bottom blistered and swelled. After my method of alternating diaper rash creams and ointments didn’t work, I tried an oatmeal bath…this brought a little bit of relief to him but still didn’t work to clear up the diaper rash. Desperate to comfort him, I went throught his medicine box and came across a sample of triple paste that the pediatrician had given me. I tried it and could not believe the improvement it made! Within 24 hours his diaper rash was completely gone. The triple paste is a white pastey cream that’s thick (I think to keep irritants away from baby’s skin). It didn’t smell funky, I didn’t have to use a lava bar to wash it off my hands, it didn’t sting my son’s bottom when I put it on and he didn’t smell like a medicine chest all day. The most important benefit of the triple paste though, was obviously the effectiveness of it on the diaper rash. I have recommended it to friends and family and will continue recommending it until I see with my own eyes of another product that works as well. If you have a baby prone to diaper rash I highly suggest you pick some up (they usually have it at stores like Babies R Us and you can order it online too) and if you are expecting a baby I suggest you pick up a small tube because even if you don’t have a baby prone to diaper rash, you never know when severe diahhrea from the flu, a reaction to a food or whatever else will strike leaving your little one’s bottom incredibly sore. Triple paste is on the pricey side so I wouldn’t reocmmend it for mild occasional diaper rash but for the more sever diaper rash, for the incredibly painful blistery type of diaper rash, I haven’t seen ANY diaper rash cream (or ointment for that matter) work as well as triple paste.
