A few years ago I developed the worst winter cold of my life. I could barely breath and couldn’t get out of bed for weeks. I knew it was something more than the common cold so I took a trip to see my doctor.
“Leviquin is what you need,” he told me. It’s an anti-biotic that my doctor swore was the best thing on the market today. So, I sniffled, took the medication, and then went home only to find myself sicker than when I went to the doctor.
I began to feel nauseated and couldn’t keep anything down. Now, on top of having the worst cold of my life, I now had some kind of stomach flue on top of it all…Or so I thought.
I began taking more Leviquin thinking that it would make me start feeling better any moment. I in turn got worse. I couldn’t keep anything down for an entire week. I should have been hospitalized but I was so mad at the doctor I never told him about my adverse reaction.
Over all, I think it took me two full months to recouperate from my cold and from Leviquin. I got better the old fashioned way with mustard packs and steaming myself. At one point, my husband even had to feed me I was so weak.
Never again in my life will I take Leviquin. It’s the worst anti-biotic I have ever taken and I don’t recommend anyone trying it. You might end up like me.
