Xanax(Generic Alprazolam) (Anti Anxiety Drug, Anti Anxiety Medication)
Xanax is the brand name for Alprazolam. Alprazolam is an antianxiety agent, benzodiazepines . Zanax is primilary use to relief of short term mild to moderate anxiety , nervous tension, activity depression or panic attacks and also tension associated with anxiety disorders like anxiety due to a neurosis as well. It is help full in treating irritable bowel syndrome , some cancers pains if given with various narcotics, agoraphobia.
How to take the doze:
Strictly follow doctor’s advice.
Swallow them whole ,do not crush, chew, or break the tablet as the doze is helpful to release small amount in environment of stomach.
Do not over doze
If stopped suddenly after continue use of 7 days two weeks withdrawal effects may occur
If the dose is miss :
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember if its nearer the time of next doze then skip the dose to avoid risk of double dose as this could be more dangerous then missing the dose
If the double dose is taken
Immediately seek medical advice , symptoms of double dose:
Include sleepiness, dizziness, confusion, a slow heart beat, difficulty breathing, difficulty walking and talking, an appearance of being drunk, and unconsciousness.
Some side effects:
lack of/change in appetite and weight ,drowsiness, stomach upset(may occur), headache, fatigue ,change in sex drive .Dry mouth .Heartburn, skin rash, changes in vision .Depression, Xanix is habit forming so once start patient become dependant physically nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation ,difficulty urinating; hallucinations or severe confusion; yellowing of the skin or eyes
Solution of some side effects:
To relieve dry mouth suck on chew sugarless gums ,sweets ,drink plenty of waster .Contact ur doctor and discuss.
When to avoid zanax (drug):
any type of disease like, kidney, stomach, liver, asthma , bronchitis, emphysema, or another respiratory disease,
have suicidal thoughts, narrow-angle glaucoma, have asthma, pregnancy(FDA pregnancy category D.(harmful to an unborn baby )),or breast feeding as it is express in milk.
over 65(they may cause more side effect due to age factor)
What to avoid with the medicine
Alcohol, driving, other medicines of the same type
How to store the drug
Store at room temperature
Keep away from moisture and sunlight
Do not keep in bath room
