Swoopo.com is a nightmare in theory you could nab some things at a really good price. But it takes a lot more than just a little bit of luck. I tried this site a couple times losing good chunks of money while throwing fits seeing one thing go for such a low price and then watching my skyrocket. Most people on this site are going to loser like me they don’t have the money and or time to compete with some of the people on this website.
The real winners are the people who created this site. They can make large amounts of money on certain products. While a TV in a penny auction may go for $250 they amount of bids will run the price up nicely for them. See the thing is you must pay for each big and currently that is .75 cents a bid. So even with the low selling price $250 equals about 25000 bids times .75 cents equals around $18750 plus the selling price so they do make a killing on a lot of their products. However sometimes products for a camera like a Nikon D90 will selling for like .67 cents so they lose a lot of money on those auctions. If I were you I would just save the money and go to EBay or buy it from the store so you can have the warranty. They risk just isn’t worth it in all honesty. I lose way too much money on the site and quite honestly I regret it! If you must try do some research and see how much prior auctions went and attempt to not waste to many bids at a price where other people will not let it sell.
