Treo 680

Item: Treo 680

I am a loyal Palm user. Even when Palm hasn’t come out yet with their PDA phones, I was already hooked with their Palm m100. Since then, I moved to the bulky Treo 600 and now, the Treo 680. There’s no other alternative for me with regards getting a phone with PDA functionalities.

I’ve been using my Treo 680 for two years now and needless to say, I am satisfied with its features and applications. I know it has its quirks like the battery drains pretty quickly and it has this humongous charger you have to lug around — but those are things that can be easily ignored.

The full QWERTY keypad may be a bit small for some but for girls, the size of the keys is just right. And I know my QWERTY well so this is no problem for me. However, for people who text and drive at the same time, the Treo 680 isn’t for them! It’s huge screen allows me to read e-books and watch my favorite TV shows when I’m stuck in traffic.

Unlike the older Treo 600, the camera is way better! And even I can record videos because its memory can be expanded because it has provision for an SD card.

When sending and receiving messages, I liked that I can view in one pane my conversation with each contact. It helps me keep track of the conversation and minimizes error in sending messages to someone else.

I like the fact that I can type articles and my to do list through the Task List and Docs to Go features, respectively.

It’s phonebook allows me to put in the photo of the person plus of course nuggets of information such as birthdays and anniversaries.

Yes, other phone-PDA products out there are more smaller, more compact, and more stylish but the ease of use of my Treo 680 more than makes up for whatever those other products have to offer.
