Quality Inn hotel OrlandoItem: Quality Inn
We stayed at the Quality Inn on Orange Blossom Drive in Orlando in early November 2008. We needed to stay in a hotel for one night and were looking for something clean and relatively cheap at the safe time. The photos online made the hotel look brand new and it had the highest reviews of all the other comparable hotels in the area, so it was a no-brainer that we would pick this hotel. The lobby of the hotel was clean and nicely decorated, and the front desk clerk was very friendly and curteous. We walked into the hotel room, however, to be greeted by the smell you would find in a musty camper. It took awhile to get used to the smell, but we survived. The actual room was very clean which was a nice relief. The next morning we had a nice, hot breakfast down by the pool. They served bacon, grits, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, toast, bagels, cereal, biscuits and gravy, and assorted juices. It was so nice to have breakfast by the pool! We checked out shortly thereafter and the front desk staff was very friendly again, giving us directions to get where we needed to go. The location of this hotel is very convenient to the MCO airport, and there are tons of fast food restauants and miscellaneous stores like Walgreen’s and K-Mart in very close proximity. The only thing we realized after it was too late, was that we were sort of in a bad neighborhood. We heard sirens all night and the next morning on the news we saw that a terrible crime had been committed not too far from our hotel.
I would recommend this hotel if you’re not staying by yourself and if you’re only staying for one night. Rating: 7
