Grand Istana Rama Hotel BaliItem: Grand Istana Rama Hotel
I just checked-in to this hotel, called Grand Istana Rama Hotel, located perfectly in front of Kuta Beach, Bali. This is a four star hotel, quite an old hotel in Kuta area, but recently has just being renovated. The hotel is a cottage and bungalow style, it is considered big enough for a four star hotel in Bali. This was really my first time staying at this hotel.
I had my late check-in, it was about midnight, the hotel receptionist was on his position to greet me and other guests. The check-in process was done very smooth, although I went to my room without any assistance from the bellboy. The room which I booked was a superior room for a night stay only. First impression when entering the room was good, the room really looked like being renovated, unfortunately some corners were a bit dirty and not well cleaned and maintained by the housekeeping. I ordered my supper and it was a fried noodle in Asian style with a glass of coke. I was surprised, after 15 minutes, the room service came with a tray of my ordered fried noodle covered with a clear plastic wrapped, suddenly my mood to eat was gone. I tried to taste the fried noodle and it was really disappointing me, it was not delicious as I expected from a four star hotel, I tasted nothing. Besides that, the price for a plate of fried noodle seemed very expensive for a local four star hotel in Bali, I believed there was no value for money when I ordered that fried noodle, I even couldn’t finish the food. With regret and hope one day this article will come to someone from the hotel management and they are able to do some improvements in services and product qualities. Rating: 5
