This eye shadow quad from Rimmel is probably my favorite set that I’ve purchased at a drugstore. I bought it in Smokey Brun 002 for about $9.00. Included that is a dark shimmery brown, a goldenrod shimmer, a light taupe shimmer, and a cream shimmer. They are all very usable and blend perfectly to get the desired look.
Personally, I like to take the darkest brown shimmer and put that on my lids and then use the light taupe in the crease. It really makes my dark brown eyes stand out! The package is small so you can easily fit it into your jeans pocket. There is also a small applicator included. It’s not my favorite sponge applicator, but it works. One end of the sponge is small and tapers so you can use it to line your eyes as well. The colors are highly pigmented so you don’t need much, but like I said, you can build up the color. The dark brown is truly gorgeous. If you have dark eyes like mine, this shadow will be your new best friend. It’s perfect for day time usage as well as heading out at night. I also use the dark brown as a filler for my eyebrows. The added shimmer only enhances your eyes and doesn’t make you look like a 14 year old. It’s a nice unexpected treat to see the shimmer. I’m rating this product a solid 9 because of the staying power, great matched up colors, ease of use, and price. Everything I’ve mentioned makes this eyeshadow quad kit from Rimmel far superior than other eye shadows! Rating: 9
