It should have been well noted by anyone who has had access to my reviews previously, that I am a complete and utter technology geek. I have just about every gadget and gizmo on the market today. I find myself drawn to new gadgets and I often cannot help myself buying them. It is a double edged sword of a condition, as on one hand it means I have lots of cool stuff and am able to write loads of reviews, yet on the other hand I am always poor because I spend all of my money. It is a condition that I simply need to manage, however, and I feel that my coping strategies work quite well. My current plan is that I am enjoying the spec sheet of gadgets more and more, my technology geek genes are being satisfied with learning and memorising spec sheets for impressive devices, this is certainly a lot cheaper for me. This strategy works well, right up until I came across the iphone and the ipod touch.

I have been completely smitten with this range of devices, and although I have written a review on the 2G iphone, I realise that I have thus far omitted the ipod touch. This is how bad my obsession has become I own an Iphone 2G, an Iphone 3G. and three ipod touches with various different memory sizes. That’s over one thousand pounds worth of Apple joy! Would that be evidence enough of my obsession? Possibly. I have to say that the thing that strikes me most peculiar about the ipod/iphone range is that the varying memory size makes no difference to the operating speeds of the devices. Often I have found in my experience that a lower memory device will be faster at accessing data, and a larger memory device will be a little more sluggish. This is not the case with the ipod range. I can state absolutely that the low memory ipod touch operates at the same speeds as the huge 32Gb model. This is a fantastic development in the world of advanced Mp3 format players, and certainly is part of my obsession with Apples products.

I think that the thing that I most enjoy about the ipod 32Gb is the interface. I am sorry if it has been said before, but the interface (the way you use the machine) is just so natural and so instinctive. It is just a joy to use. Now I know that some people have complained about the touch screen being heat sensitive, but I think that this is a massive improvement on the soft touch devices. I know this next statement may not help with defeating my nerd status, but the interface and screen type are the same as on Star Trek: the next generation! I think this is amazing. Quite literally you could built the enterprise using this technology. Fabulous stuff from Apple.

I love the fact that you slide your fingers around to zoom in on stuff when you are surfing. I love the fact that to flick through photos that you flick your finger like you are turning the pages in a book.

The browser is such a good development and your ability to connect online via wifi is an incredible touch. This means you can connect to itunes without a computer. This is unbelievable. As you can tell I am completely astounded by the iphone 32Gb. This is the best ipod I have ever seen, and therefore the best mp3 player on the market.

The ipod touch may not be the smallest device in the world since you cant use it wearing gloves, your fingers may get cold in the winter, but that aside this is the best device ever. I love it more than I love my car, and I know what one I would rather live without and its not made by Apple!
